.name is a generic top- level domain (gTLD) that provides a place in the Internet's domain name system where people can register their real names and have those names point to their personal webspaces. It is a unique and rarely used TLD. It is the only one officially designated for personal use, and its support for 3rd level registrations gives it a distinctive structure. This website (daniel.gnoutcheff.name) is an example of a 3rd level .name registration.
However, finding registrars for .name is difficult. Many registrars (both large and small) don't support .name, and those that do usually only allow 2nd-level registrations. Registrars that support 3rd-level registrations are very hard to find.
This page is an attempt to collect information on all registrars that sell .name domains to individuals. All of the registrars below support 2nd level domains. Those that also support 3rd level domains (along with the registry's e-mail forwarding service for 3rd level registrants) are marked as such. Registrars are sorted first by the extent of their support for 3rd level domains and then by their name.
* These registrars support 3rd level domains, but they do not support the e-mail forwarding service provided by the registry for 3rd level registrants. This means that the owner of a domain first-name.second-name.name would not be able to use the corresponding first-name@second-name.name e-mail forwarding address.

Please help me maintain this list! If you've got corrections/additions, or if there's some other kind of information you'd like to see on this list, or if you have some experience (good or bad) with any of these registrars, please tell me about it. See my main page for contact info. You may also want to look at the source tarball for this page, which contains the scripts and such used to generate this page.
An important source is Verisign's accredited registrars webpage. Be aware that their list contains a lot of noise; for example, GoDaddy is listed as a .name registrar because they used to sell .name domains. The source tarball includes the copies of Verisign's list that were used to help make this list.
